Cycling
"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving."
-Albert Einstein
Since I can remember I have always been in a sport. Competition does something to a human and forces them to fight to the end or fall. I have fallen many times but I always managed to get up. In 2011 during a scrimmage football game I fell once again, but this time it was different. I tore my ACL and MCL and had to retire from football. After surgery and rehab I managed to get back in the weight room but it was not the same. I struggled finding a sport but there was my bicycles. I always enjoyed riding and now I had the chance to get serious and put time into it. I started training alone and eventually rode in groups. I realized I was pretty fast so I started racing. Never took an amazing position but I had truly found my new love. Cycling. The race that I am most proud of is the Rosarito to Ensenada race. It is a 50 mile race with amazing scenery. I first participated in the race in 2013 and have gone every year since. My best time is 2 hours and 15 minutes and hopefully this year I can PR. For those that know me know that I ride my bikes every where and with out them I would be a sad lad. I plan on cycling all over the world and venturing into downhill mountain biking.
In relation to business I know the cycling industry. I have personal experience riding these actual bikes so I could benefit companies because I understand and have the ability to relate to the customer and the ability to fit into the company culture. I am also a subscriber of Cyclist magazine and blogs so I am aware of the latest news and trends.
